Virtual payments
What if you would like to send money to someone who doesn’t have a bank account but does have online access? Or you would like to pay for a purchase without providing your bank card number? In that case virtual payments viaplatformen (via platforms) such as PayPal or Skrill (formerly: Moneybookers) offer good, round the clock alternatives.
How do virtual payments work? 4 stages:
- Normally you create a personal account with the company that offers the virtual payment service.
- Enter the e-mail address that the beneficiary has linked to their account.
- Enter the amount of your virtual payment.
- Click on send.
The service will automatically collect the amount via:
- your personal account, providing this is in credit
- your credit card or bank account, if the balance in your personal account is zero or insufficient.
Warning! You may have to pay commission for the use of the platform.
